Several years ago, I met Erin Williams, president of her own created and established business—Millennia Models and Williams Talent Agency. My oldest son and I had been sent on a venture to interview with the top three modeling agencies in Houston. When my son, Parker and I, sat in the office and listened to Erin speak to us about what we were about to get into and how she managed her clients, we looked at each other with a heartfelt agreement that this was the agency with which we wanted to belong. If I had to tell someone about Erin Williams and what she has done in my life, it might as well be a book. I have and will always look up to Erin Williams. Before I signed with a modeling agency or even said her name once, I will not forget the way she changed my life by saying to a 15-year-old girl with acne, braces, and glasses, “You are beautiful.” That girl was me. It may not be much to anyone reading this, but when you are an awkward nerd of a little girl on your way to womanhood, no one really EVER says that to you except your mother. Erin Williams saw potential in me as a model, which goes to show that most people in business feed you lines of “what you want to hear” versus “what you really hear.” She trained me, counseled me, and was and is always honest when I make any decision in the modeling market.
